Roles and Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The primary objective of the Creditors Clerk / Accounts Assistant is to:
Apply principles of accounting to analyse financial information, reconciling of accounts for ensuring that monies paid to Suppliers is correct and accurate according to records.
To ensure that all supporting documentation is correct before submitting for approval for payment purposes.
To ensure that any discrepancies related to Supplier accounts are highlighted and brought to the attention of Senior Management.
To assist in any other area of the Financial / Admin Department when required.

Functions and Accountabilities:
Financial Duties:
Assisting the Financial Manager in daily requirements;
Recording of data & reconcile creditors accounts for payment at month end;
Collecting and filling of all financial records;
Archiving & retrieving of financial records;
Cancellation of demonstration orders (Picking Slips);
Assist customers / suppliers with document requests (fax or e-mail);
Assist with audit preparation and providing documents;
Assist with back-ups of financial system;
Record keeping, data capturing and reconciling of Petty Cash for Numatic International (Pty) Ltd;
Journalising of all Customer Discount, Commission and other journals on the system as per the Journal Record Book;
Reconciliation of Bank Accounts with split responsibilities with Debtors Clerk;
Payment allocations on supplier accounts to ensure that aging is correct on the system for suppliers;
Monthly expense allocation checks of all General Ledger accounts with Financial Manager.

Administrative:
Assist with company functions where required;
Assist with yearly stock take;
Assist with Switchboard Duties when required;
Maintain filing system;
Assist with archiving of documents from other departments;
Managing of Admin Contractors along with appointed staff members of the Admin Department;
Managing of the Tuck Shop along with appointed staff members in the Admin Department;
Assist with training days.
