- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring they comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights into financial performance, trends, and potential risks.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company has the liquidity to meet its obligations and support business growth.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with local, national, and international tax laws, filing all necessary returns and maintaining proper records.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of the process.
- Cost Management: Monitor costs across departments and projects to ensure financial efficiency, recommending cost-cutting strategies when necessary.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Financial Systems & Processes: Develop and optimize financial systems, tools, and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
Experience and Skills Required
- CA(SA)
- Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in the mining or manufacturing industry
- Power BI expertise
- SAGE Evolution
