Hermanus: My client, a renowned winery situated in the beautiful Overberg platteland, is seeking to employ a charismatic and dynamic Wine Tasting Manager/Marketing Coordinator to join their team. If you thrive in a vibrant, unpretentious environment where you can be your best self, this opportunity is for you. Key r esponsibilities include but are not limited to :
  • Tasting Venue Management: Oversee the general operation and management of the Wine Tasting venue, ensuring a memorable and authentic experience for all visitors.
  • Sales and Marketing Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote the venue and the wine brand, including managing POS systems and databases.
  • Client and Relationship Management: Maintain and extend relationships with corporate, restaurant, reseller, and hospitality clients
  • Event Planning and Management: Plan, market, and manage on-site and off-site events to grow sales and brand awareness.
  • Electronic Media Management: Plan, control, and execute electronic media campaigns to enhance brand awareness and engagement through various channels.
Criteria:
  • A high level of proficiency in English and Afrikaans: Verbal, written and reading
  • Previous experience at a 5-star wine establishment or hospitality industry, with great emphasis on Wine Tasting knowledge
  • Operational Excellence - Tasting Venue, Staff Training, Inventory Management, Customer Service
  • Sales and Marketing Acumen: Sales Processes, Marketing Strategies
  • Relationship Building: Clients, Partners, Influencers
  • Event Coordination Skills: Planning, Managing Events
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Campaigns, Content Creation, Monitoring, Analysis
  • Outgoing and Friendly: Sociable, Welcoming
  • Detail-Oriented: High Standards, Venue Presentation, Client Interactions
  • Organized and Efficient: Multitasking, Prioritization
  • Creative and Innovative: Fresh Ideas, Marketing Campaigns, Events
ONLY CANDIDATES WHO WILL BE RESIDENT IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO HERMANUS AT THE TIME OF APPOINTMENT, WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE

Requirements:
