A leading company in the mining and minerals processing sector is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in designing and developing mechanical components for capital equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design within the mining, process equipment, or heavy machinery industry.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in designing crushing, screening, or processing equipment is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for capital equipment.
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing.
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and suppliers to refine designs and optimize performance.
• Conduct design reviews and modifications based on testing and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing and commissioning phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation projects.
