Salary: R 480,000 - R 600,000 Per Annum
Our client is looking for a dynamic Commercial Insurance Sales Executive to drive new business growth and foster lasting client relationships. This role involves identifying potential clients, presenting tailored insurance solutions, and ensuring successful policy sales. A strong understanding of insurance products and providers is essential, along with excellent administrative skills to manage policy documentation and client records effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Business Development:
- Proactively source and develop a client base through networking and referrals.
- Assess client needs via consultations and risk analysis.
- Present tailored insurance solutions, explaining benefits, features, and costs.
- Secure new business by closing sales and finalizing policy agreements.
Client Relationship Management & Retention:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure policy retention.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries, policy updates, and renewals.
- Keep clients informed about policy changes, claims processes, and new offerings.
Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards:
- Uphold Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles in all client interactions.
- Ensure all advice and solutions align with individual client needs.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, including FAIS requirements.
Administrative & Process Management:
- Accurately complete and maintain policy documentation and client records.
- Ensure policies, claims, and premium adjustments are processed correctly and on time.
- Work closely with underwriting, finance, and compliance teams to streamline operations.
Product & Market Knowledge:
- Stay informed about commercial and personal insurance products and market trends.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of insurer offerings and competitor products.
- Identify opportunities for product innovation and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Short-term Insurance Qualification
- Regulatory Exam (RE5) certification
- Product-Specific Training & Class of Business (Commercial & Personal Lines)
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) compliance
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in the insurance industry
- At least 5 years dealing with commercial, transport, and personal lines clients
- Core Competencies & Skills:
- Strong sales and business development abilities
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills
- High-level administrative and record-keeping proficiency
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel)
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products, providers, and industry regulations
