Introduction:To translate the sales and profit budget for the category into the most appropriate apportioning into the relevant components (i.e., stock, margin, provisions) and then to accurately forecast, monitor and analyse performance against budgets and make recommendations in order for the category to achieve its sales and profitability targets

Business Needs Analysis
- To monitor, analyse, interpret, and mine all sources of relevant data to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business needs around the category and identify ideal profiles for stores, suppliers, and ranges
Generating Solutions
- To identify opportunities/issues in order to and generate effective solutions to achieve budgeted sales, stock, and margins aimed at optimising the financial results of the category
Supply Chain Management
- To manage the end-to-end supply chain process regarding category - from forecasting of sales, profit, and stock to management of margins, sales, stock, ranges, suppliers
Supplier Performance
- To participate in supplier performance reviews and influence appropriate action to ensure that set supplier KPIs are achieved
Team Influencing
- To play a leading role in managing and implementing initiatives at functional level and ensuring effective performance within the support team
Network Influencing
- To build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and connect people to enable delivery of the strategy
To uphold and promote the company values and culture
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience of planning within a high complexity/large category environment (essential);
Experience gained in the FMCG industry (desirable);
Experience in a people influencing/leadership (desirable)
