Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and driving strategic financial planning. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of the South African financial landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial health of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize profitability and growth.
- Ensure compliance with South African tax laws, IFRS standards , and other financial regulations.
- Manage cash flow, investment activities, and risk assessment.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage audits, both internal and external.
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business decision-making.
- Work closely with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Honours or MBA is a plus).
- CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA certification preferred .
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in South Africa.
- Strong knowledge of South African financial regulations, tax laws, and IFRS .
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Pastel, or QuickBooks).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
