Job Purpose:
The Facilitator for Qualification 49010 – Plant Production (NQF 5) will be responsible for delivering high-quality, practical, and theoretical training in plant production to learners. The facilitator will guide students through the curriculum, ensuring they gain the skills and knowledge required to manage plant production systems, improve crop yields, and ensure sustainable agricultural practices. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of plant production, sustainability in agriculture, and the ability to inspire and engage learners.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- A minimum of a National Diploma or Degree in Plant Production, Agriculture, or a related field (NQF Level 5 or higher).
- Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of practical experience in plant production, crop management, or a related agricultural field.
- Proven experience in teaching, training, or facilitating in an educational or agricultural setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of NQF-level qualifications and assessment processes in agricultural education is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of plant production systems, crop management techniques, soil science, pest control, and sustainable farming practices.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with learners and colleagues.
- Ability to assess, evaluate, and provide feedback to learners effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software for administration and record-keeping.
