Job Description

Responsible for operating the fillet line in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Job requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• N2 Mechanical Engineering.
• 1 to 2 Years proven experience as a machine operator within the FMCG environment.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery.
• A willingness to work overtime, shifts and weekends when required.

Duties and responsibilities

• Set up fillets (calibration, cleaning etc) to start production cycle.
• Control and adjust fillets line settings (e.g. speed).
• Visual inspection of machines daily.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Perform other duties as may be required by line manager.

Skills and Abilities required

• Understanding of production procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to read manuals.
• Good communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Team player.
• Able to work under pressure.
