ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
- Plan the testing activities and related facility changes that might be required to enable release testing of components.
- Preparing components and/or assemblies to clients Group Standards, as specified by the test specification, the component measurement and/or inspection sheets and assembly checklist(s) to ensure all requirements are met before a test commences that in turn ensures a sound result and validated report.
- Preparing the test facility and test operations logs and recordings, according to the test schedule and in accordance with the clients testing standards, testing guidelines and safety practices of our client, to ensure all requirements are met before a test commences.
- To provide support and skills to the responsible test Technician(s) and Mechanic(s) throughout the duration of a test, by way of problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis, to ensure all requirements are met during a test and the agreed test timing is achieved.
- Reporting on the progress of tests and keeping Supervision and Management aware of results on a regular basis, to ensure the smooth and continuous running of the test, and so ensuring the efficient operation of the facilities and services in order to keep to committed milestones.

ABOUT YOU:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering (BEng , BSc)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the testing and/or development of automotive components for volume production which should cover:
Ø Testing of automotive components in real and simulated environments.
Ø Installing, using and troubleshooting engineering data acquisition Systems.
Ø Analysing and reporting on data captured.
Ø Working cross-divisionally with Quality, Production, Purchasing and Logistics.
· High level of understanding of technical/engineering concepts and design processes.
· Able to troubleshoot and correct problematic data acquisition systems, component faults and test systems (facilities and in-vehicle)
· Ability to use data-capturing and processing software.
· Project management skills
· Good interpersonal skills (team and negotiating skills)
· Ability to lead and operate within a team.
· Innovation when faced with limitations
· Problem resolution capabilities
· Excellent report writing and presentation skills
· High degree of computer literacy
· Ability to work and complete tasks without supervision
