ROLE PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
An international brand in the footwear industry, is looking to employ someone in the role of Brand Manager, to join their dynamic team.
Responsible for developing and executing brand strategies (Product & Marketing), ensuring brand consistency across all channels, and driving brand awareness and engagement to meet business goals. This role oversees the planning and executing of merchandising strategies, focusing on product selection, pricing and inventory management to drive targeted sales and profitability.
Merchandising:
- Product Planning and Selection: Identifying customer demand, analysing market trends, and selecting products that meet those needs.
- Inventory Management: Forecasting sales, managing inventory levels, and ensuring products are available in stores or online.
- Pricing Strategies: Developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Vendor Management: Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and ensuring a consistent supply of products.
- Merchandising Strategy Implementation: Overseeing the placement of products in stores or online, ensuring proper displays, and managing promotional activities.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Monitoring sales data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Budget Management: Managing budgets related to product development, inventory, and merchandising activities.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and motivating merchandising team members.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as regional merchandising, sales, and operations, to achieve company goals.
Marketing:
- Brand Strategy Development: Formulate and implement brand strategies aligned with business objectives, including target audience identification, brand positioning, and messaging.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain brand integrity across all touchpoints, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and customer experience.
- Marketing Campaign Planning: Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and achieve sales targets.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to understand consumer behaviour, identify trends, and assess competitive landscape.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities to differentiate the brand.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives and make data-driven decisions, both locally and regionally, based on business cadence
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments, including regaional marketing, sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure brand alignment.
- Budget Management: Manage brand marketing budgets effectively and ensure optimised allocation of resources.
- Content Strategy: Develop and oversee content strategy to ensure it aligns with brand messaging and target audience.
- Digital Marketing: Manage and optimize digital marketing channels to increase brand reach and engagement.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, E-Commerce, Retail, Business or any other related field
- 5+ years' experience in a retail trading environment, 2+ years' experience in managing a team
- Advanced Microsoft office ability (Excel advanced)
- Exercise sound judgement based on analysis, experience and fit for purpose
- Strong ability to interpret sales data, tracking and reporting, and knowledge on how to improve these metrics and execute
- Budgeting and reporting skills with a strong understanding of marketing & merchandising KPI measurements
- Strong customer first service focus and flexible in approach
- Drives collaboration and promotes teamwork
- A strong understanding of lifestyle brands and the market opportunities within the retail, wholesale and e-commerce sector
