Description:
Our client a specialist in manufacturing is urgently looking for a Buyer who has
extensive import experience. Candidate must have previously worked together with
shipping and clearing agents and know how to work with cross borders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Request pricing from all the relevant suppliers (local & import)
Negotiate pricing
Place Purchase Orders
Compile Reports for Management (Excel and ERP Based)
Tracking Incoming Shipments
Housekeeping of PO dates
Requesting estimates from the clearing agents and freight forwarders
Arranging forward covers for International Purchases
Expediting shipping dates & obtaining shipping documents
Manage the transport between external warehouses and internal
Ensure Proof of Deliveries for every delivery made are received
Facilitate transfers between Warehouse Locations
Manage Stock take – monthly
Ensure invoices for shipments are received and submitted - monthly
Must have:
ERP system experience
Excel Intermediate (Know how to do pivot tables)
Import experience essential
Requirements:
- Procurement: 4 to 5 years
- Buying Administration: 4 to 5 years
- Import Logistics: 1 to 2 years
