Description:

This role is focused on driving new business and meeting sales targets through personal and team performance. It’s about ensuring that our client follows the best practices in equipment sales, always keeping the customer at the heart of what they do, and staying aligned with the company’s long-term vision. The aim is to streamline operations for maximum efficiency while ensuring the department is profitable and hitting the set targets.

Key responsibilities are not limited to:

Manage Sales Department personnel: performance appraisals, payroll submission, departmental meetings, employee morale surveys, leave management, and adherence to personnel policies (hiring, terminations, compensation, benefits, safety, and training). Oversee customer interactions: guide the sales team to attract and secure new business, develop client partnerships, and address development needs in sales and administrative teams. Handle all field sales activities in assigned regions to achieve maximum sales and profitability within company policies. Develop and meet short- and long-term sales goals for products in assigned territories and markets. Conduct field visits, engage with customers, distributors, and end-users, and attend conventions to promote products. Plan and host customer appreciation events, manage regional marketing activities, and align marketing efforts with the budget. Collaborate with other field sales managers to achieve company-wide results and communicate effectively with Customer Service and other teams. Implement company policies and strategies in assigned territories while maintaining business ethics and quality standards. Prepare market forecasts, share market insights with National Sales Management, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Manage the department’s finances in line with the budget and company objectives, ensuring rental business quality, meeting order, invoicing, and GP targets, controlling stock turnover, and keeping overheads and debtors under control. Plan, prepare, and ensure the achievement of the Sales department’s budget. Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed. Ensure the sales team follows administrative procedures during the new customer onboarding process. Oversee the development and performance of the sales team in assigned areas, ensuring coverage, growth, and profitability. Drive customer service excellence and maintain strong customer relationships and communication. Grow the department in line with company requirements. Implement operational innovations to improve performance.
