Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Process Support:

  • Develop, implement, and sustain production processes for effective operations.
  • Collect and analyze data to improve production efficiency and resolve issues.
  • Ensure machine reliability to meet operational standards.
  • Monitor production, implement corrective actions, and maintain product quality.
  • Minimize scrap waste and optimize equipment usage per company policies and the OHS Act.
  • Identify and address process-related challenges, recommending solutions.
  • Maintain company assets in good working condition.
  • Train technical staff on best practices for tools and processes.
  • Assist with the integration of new systems and software to enhance productivity.
  • Keep detailed records of processes, changes, and outcomes.

    2. Inventory and Resource Management:

    • Monitor and manage technical supplies and equipment inventory.
    • Procure necessary materials and equipment as required.

      3. Health and Safety:

      • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
      • Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned work areas.
      • Report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses.

        4. Quality Assurance:

        • Uphold company quality principles and standards.
        • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

          5. Food Safety System Certification (FSSC):

          • Adhere to site-specific food safety standards.
          • Report food safety hazards or concerns to management.
          • Ensure compliance with the companys Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

            6. Self-Development & Growth:

            • Assess strengths and development areas, taking steps for self-improvement.
            • Stay updated on industry innovations and technical advancements.
            • Foster teamwork and effective communication.
            • Demonstrate leadership and accountability in all tasks.

              7. General Responsibilities:

              • Ensure continuity of operations by providing necessary information to the team.
              • Adhere to company policies, principles, and standards.
              • Lead by example in professionalism, behavior, and work ethic.
              • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management based on operational needs.

                Qualifications & Experience:

                Education:

                • Grade 12 (Matric)
                • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

                  Experience:

                  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience

                    Required Competencies:

                    Knowledge:

                    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
                    • Expertise in fault finding, equipment testing, and troubleshooting
                    • Familiarity with health and safety standards
                    • Understanding of production processes, raw materials, and quality systems

                      Skills:

                      • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
