Temp Accountant

Description:

My client is a dynamic and growing manufacturing company based in Johannesburg South, seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. This role will be responsible for managing the full finance function and ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the full finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and management accounts
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and financial performance
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage financial audits and liaise with auditors
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial reporting

Requirements:

- Strong background in manufacturing industry accounting
- Experience with financial reporting and management accounts
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., BCom, CIMA, or equivalent)
