Driver
Purpose of the role
The driver plays a key role in day-to- day operations of the business. The role of the driver is to ensure goods and services are delivered to customers and clients.
Reporting To:
Subordinates: NOT APPLICABLE
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Loading, transporting and deliver goods to clients and customers in a safe and timely manner.
· Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the invoice is correct, and customer is satisfied.
· Assist with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.
· Accept payments for delivered items.
· Communicate with clients and customers in a courteous manner.
· Maintain client and customer confidentiality.
· Maintain cleanliness of the vehicles.
· Adhere to all safety procedures, personal safety, and hygiene.
· Ensure all incidents and accidents are reported.
· Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
· Abide by the rules and laws of the road.
· Prepare and maintain documents related to the deliveries.
· Resolve customer or client queries.
Skills and Qualifications:
· A valid Matric Certificate.
· Valid Drivers License.
· Customer Focused
· Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
· Accurate and attention to detail.
· Able to work under pressure.
· Able to work in a team.
· Physically fit.
