Business Data Analyst

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company looking for a Business Data Analyst to support strategic decision-making through data analysis and financial insights. This role requires a highly analytical individual with strong technical skills who can extract, clean, and analyze financial data while working closely with stakeholders to drive business performance.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data from multiple sources using Python, MS SQL, and MySQL, developing reports and dashboards to support business objectives, and optimizing database queries for efficient data retrieval. They will collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather data requirements and translate insights into actionable reports. The role also involves developing automation solutions using Python, identifying process improvement opportunities, and ensuring data governance and compliance with financial regulations

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of three to five years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role focused on financial data analysis
Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation
Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and working with relational databases such as MS SQL Server and MySQL
Expertise in developing and managing financial reports and dashboards
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization
Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial metrics
Experience working with large datasets, data cleaning, and transformation
Ability to communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualification:
A relevant bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
