The Faculty of Military Science, Saldanha Campus (Military Academy), is a satellite campus of Stellenbosch University (SU) presenting contextualised tertiary educational programmes exclusively for members of the Department of Defence.
The Faculty Management Division provides support to members of the Faculty with regards to financial transactions, human resource administration, general procurement, general administration, and short course administration.
Duties:
• Performing computer system activities and administrative support related to financial management, human resources, procurement, short courses and general administration.
• General human resource administration and ensuring compliance with the University’s human resources policy.
• Scheduling and administration of short courses.
• Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Dean’s Management Team.
• Making logistical arrangements, including the organisation of meetings, workshops, and conferences.
• Compiling of minutes, reports and general correspondence forthcoming from committees, workshops, meetings, and task teams relating to projects.
• Administration of own office, including the maintenance of an efficient digital filing system.
Requirements:
- A Completed Post School Qualification.
- At Least Five Years’ Administrative Experience In The Department Of Defence.: 5 to 6 years
- Experience With Administrative Support At Management Level.

• Excellent computer skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of higher education.
• Extensive experience in the compilation, editing, and preparation of reports.
• A completed post school qualification in financial management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to function in a team.
