- Line Management support with all Labour relations issues
- Ensure legal compliance with all IR issues
- Company representative at the Bargaining Council/CCMA
- Lead Plant Level negotiations
- Lead Internal dispute Resolution
Skills Development & Training – assisted by HR Officer
- Manage the training budget
- Manage & maintain all training needs & requirements of Ferro staff
- Manage all dealings with CHIETA (manage Seta grants and funding).
- Annual WSP and ATR submission to relevant SETA
- BBBEE reporting on skills development
- Ensure workplace approval is valid and in place
- Prepare annual master training plan
Employment Equity
- Annual EE submission
- Co-ordinate and maintain a record of all committee meetings
- Timeous resolution of any EE disputes that may arise
- Ensure recruitment and succession planning needs align to EE plan targets
- BBBEE reporting on Management Control
Policies and Procedures
- Develop and maintain company policies and procedures ensuring legal compliance at all times.
- Assist with updating of Job Descriptions, KPI’s & KPA’s.
- Ensure adequate communication and training on policies
- Ensure adequate awareness is received on any new policy
Recruitment – assisted by Recruitment Officer
- Assist with the recruitment function when necessary, including sourcing of candidates, CV shortlisting interviewing and preparation of new employee documentation.
Talent Management
- Establish and monitor succession plans
- Ensure individual development plans are aligned to business needs
- Facilitate bi-annual performance appraisals

- IR / ER Disputes Resolution Experience: 8 to 9 years
- At least 8+ years progressive working experience in Human Resources with major strengths in EE & IR/ER
- Advanced knowledge of Employment Equity (non-negotiable)
- Experience working with union’s & bargaining council
- Able to work independently
- Good computer & written language skills
- Certified qualification in Labour Relations
- Certified SDF
- Ability to plan prioritize and meet deadlines
