Description:
A well established Company in Pretoria who manufacture electronic equipment for the mining industry has a vacancy for a Technical Document Controller.
The successful Candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of technical documents within the organisation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and proper version control. Create, store, organize, track and distribute technical documents such as drawings, manual, specfications and procedures. Manual and electronic control of documents.
Document collection and registration.
Work on the Config Managment system (ISO, quality control documents).
Data input managment.
Monitor and manage document version.
Assign numbers to documents electronically and physically.
Review technical documents for accuracy.
Distribute documents to authorized personnel .
Track changes made to documents, manage revision cycles and update existing documents.
Maintain detailed logs and records of document creation, revision dates, distribution and approvals.
Implement procedures for archiving obsolete documents.
Template creation.
System administration.
Requirements:
Matric.
A relevant Document Management qualification would be an advantage.
Previous experience in a document control role within an electronic or technical environment is highly desirable.
Familiar with technical formats for mechanical and electrical parts and systems.
Accurate and pay attention to detail.
Highly computer literate.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to identify and solve issues related to document control processes.
