Are you a skilled Credit Analyst looking to make a meaningful impact in South Africa’s investment landscape? A leading investment firm managing over R100 billion in assets is seeking a Listed Credit Analyst to join their dynamic team. As a Listed Credit Analyst , you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the creditworthiness of publicly traded debt instruments such as corporate and government bonds . You will provide critical investment insights that shape portfolio strategies and contribute to the firm’s mission of sustainable and ethical investing.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial, risk, and operational reviews of listed debt instruments and counterparties.
- Perform investment and credit research, providing recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Assess existing transactions, advising on hold, buy, or sell decisions in collaboration with the dealing desk.
- Maintain a detailed database of listed credit counterparties and assets for informed decision-making.
- Originate and analyze new investment opportunities in the listed credit markets.
- Negotiate and structure deals, ensuring legal protections meet ASISA standards.
- Provide investment-related data and support valuation processes.
- Participate in internal projects, client presentations, and thought leadership initiatives.
CA(SA), CFA, FRM , or equivalent finance qualification preferred.
â Experience: 3+ years in credit analysis, fixed income, or investment research.
â Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and credit risk assessment abilities.
â Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex financial statements and economic indicators.
â Communication: Strong presentation and reporting skills to articulate investment insights.
â Passion for Developmental Investing: An interest in impact investing, infrastructure, and ESG integration is a plus!
