Job Purpose
Implement sustainability strategy, Process and Lease Agreements for Nedbank Retail Lease portfolio (Branch & ATM) to meet Nedbank ESG Objective in terms related to sustainability.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies :

Create and execute strategies to meet the company’s goals.

Ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Implement a green Lease and Reporting with all Leasing suppliers.
Data Collection and Analysis:
-
Gather; analyze and report data related to Sustainability practices.

Identify key risks opportunities.
Reporting and Compliance:
-
Prepare Sustainability reports in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Ensure transparency and accuracy in Sustainability disclosures.
Stakeholder Engagement:
-
Communicate Sustainability efforts and results to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with various teams internally and external suppliers to integrate Sustainability practices across the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
-
Stay updated on Sustainability trends and best practices.
-
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance Sustainability performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of Sustainability Issues:
- Deep understanding of Sustainability principles, reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze Sustainability data and identify significant trends and issues.
Communication Skills:
- Strong ability to communicate Sustainability initiatives and their importance effectively.
Engage and persuade:
Strong ability to persuade suppliers to join Nedbank’s sustainability journey by implementing processes that align with Nedbank’s strategy and ESG reporting requirements
Leadership:
- Capability to lead projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to see the big picture and align Sustainability initiatives with the company’s strategic goals.
Sustainability Practices:
- Advanced understanding on electricity; Water consumption, Solar and (REX)buying/ selling, and other sustainability practice

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Masters in Property sustainable development OR Honour's in Property Studies

Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
Preferred Qualification / Accreditation
- Accredited professional with GBCSA
Minimum Experience Level
- Minimum 2 Years working experience in real estate sustainability practices
- Background project management and engineering experience would be an advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience and exposure to ESG Projects and initiatives.
