This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with financial accounting expertise and a background in the mining industry to contribute to the company's success.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Handle monthly and annual financial reporting, including the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Manage and process journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Assist in financial analysis and variance reporting.
Requirements:
- Qualification: CA(SA) is essential
- Experience: 2 years of commercial accounting experience, specifically within the mining sector.
- Skills: Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Background: Previous experience working in the mining industry will be a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
