Minimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or cost management Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification would be advantageous 5 10 years proven experience as Cost Accountant Knowledge and understanding of the Apparel or Textile manufacturing industry Key Responsibilities:
Collecting and analyzing data about the companys operational costs Setting standard costs of manufactured goods Developing and analyzing cost standards Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor and shipping Performing account reconciliations Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management Recommending changes to the companys processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data Managing the companys balance sheet and accounting books Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure Use financial software to identify inconsistencies and irregularities in operational costs and model the impact of possible budget changes on the companys financial health Responsible to improve and drive financial efficiency Provide data-driven advice to company leadership for better decision making Analyze production costs, including raw materials, overhead expenses, and operational expenditures Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement Collaborate with relevant departments to control and reduce costs where possible
