Description:
My client in the health and personal accident insurance industry is looking for a highly effective, driven and tenacious Claims Administrator.
The position is based in Johannesburg North. The appropriate candidate should ideally live in the Johannesburg North area or it's surrounding area.
The Claims Administrator's main objectives shall include the following (not to be treated as an exhaustive list):
Analyse and investigate complicated claims to assist in the prevention of fraud.
Manage the claims intake process for new claims, including gathering information from clients/brokers regarding the nature of the claim.
Coordinate with Insurers to settle claims.
Review the applicable documentation to determine and support the claim.
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, namely brokers.
Monitor, measure and control the policy administration processes and procedures in adherence to Company policies and regulations.
Manage the claims bank account float by making sure top-up is done, as and when required.
Collaborate with Insurers and research claims to determine if the Company/Insurer is liable in conditions where client/broker seeks compensation/cover.
Requirements:
- Excel: 3 to 4 years
- Claims Management: 3 to 4 years
- Claims Investigations: 3 to 4 years
Experience
Minimum of 5+ years within a financial services industry.
Minimum of 5+ years in short term insurance claims experience (Personal and Commercial).
Must have a thorough track record of being in a highly administrative role.
Extremely client/service orientated.
