JUNIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER (Pome and Stone fruit)
We offer an excellent career development opportunity for a young, suitably qualified agriculturist. The nominated candidate will have a keen interest in the technical and scientific aspects of fruit cultivation.
You will join an experienced management team and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. A specific job description pertaining to production management will be agreed with you. In addition to the responsibility of managing a production area, the position will also include technical support for the rest of the farming unit.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and maintenance of sound and healthy human relations (at all levels);
- Planning, organizing and managing production processes;
- Effective communication and timely reporting of information;
- Identify and investigate opportunities to implement the latest technology in production processes.
Requirements:
- Leadership and maintenance of sound and healthy human relations (at all levels);

- Identify and investigate opportunities to implement the latest technology in production processes.
- B.Sc. or B.Agric. Degree with Horticulture and/or Soil Science;
- Passion for primary agriculture, together with an interest and aptitude for Pomology in particular;
- Affinity for technology and its practical application in farming and business;
- Energy, innovative and a passion for excellence.
Qualifications and attributes of the successful candidate will include:
- B.Sc. or B.Agric. Degree with Horticulture and/or Soil Science;
- Passion for primary agriculture, together with an interest and aptitude for Pomology in particular;
- Affinity for technology and its practical application in farming and business;
- Energy, innovative and a passion for excellence.
Although this position primarily focuses on fruit cultivation, there is also the opportunity to get involved in the management of the livestock.
