Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join their team in Johannesburg . The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, providing technical consultation, and developing customized access control and security solutions for clients. This role requires a strong sales background, technical expertise, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in parking and access control solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, including property managers, security firms, and facility managers.
- Provide technical consultation, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tenders.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients.
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure successful project implementation.
- Provide ongoing client support, troubleshooting, and training.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development.
- Strong understanding of access control, parking management, and security systems.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to assess client needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
- Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Experience in security and access control, including CCTV, biometric access, boom gates, and turnstiles.
- Experience in parking management systems such as automated barriers, ticketing, and revenue parking solutions.
- Knowledge of electronic security and automation, including intercoms, surveillance, and smart access technologies.
- Experience in technical or engineering sales, particularly in hardware or software solutions.
- Salary: negotiable.
