Our Client based in Cape Town southern suburbs requires your senior bookkeeping experience managing all financial functions and processes up to handing over management accounts to the auditors. REQUIREMENTS- Matric, similar qualification
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Min 5 years of hands-on experience in financial management, bookkeeping, or accounting
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial management, tax compliance, and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and statutory reporting requirements
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of financial functions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
DUTIES
- Full Financial Management
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately
- Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Manage the company's cash flow to ensure financial stability
- Ensure tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, and income tax submissions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for business growth. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop and manage company budgets.
- Prepare financial forecasts and monitor actual performance against projections.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
- Payroll & Compliance
- Oversee payroll calculations handled by the HR administrator and ensure compliance with tax and labour regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions when necessary.
- Business Support & Administration
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Assist management with financial planning and risk assessment.
- Handle administrative financial tasks, including banking, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
