We are looking for an experienced Mineral Processing Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems used in mineral processing plants. This role requires expertise in mechanical engineering principles, mineral processing techniques, and project management. The successful candidate will work alongside cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, optimize equipment, and ensure safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Maintain Equipment:
- Design and optimize mechanical systems, including crushers, mills, conveyors, and separation equipment used in mineral processing.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to minimize downtime.
- Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize plant operations and improve recovery rates and efficiency.
- Implement engineering solutions to reduce operational costs and increase throughput.
- Project Management:
- Oversee mechanical installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Manage projects from conceptual design to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all mechanical operations adhere to industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend safety improvements to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
- Research and implement new technologies and practices to increase system efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
