My client is a leading vehicle tracking company specializing in cutting-edge telematics solutions to ensure the safety and efficiency of their clients’ fleets. Based in Johannesburg North, they are expanding their team and seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to drive their pricing strategies and commercial initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and results-driven professional to contribute to the growth and success of our company in a fast-evolving industry. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for analyzing pricing trends, developing and implementing pricing strategies, and designing innovative pricing models to ensure the company remains competitive in the market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive commercial initiatives and optimize revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pricing Strategy & Analysis
o Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to identify opportunities for business growth.
o Develop and implement effective pricing strategies that align with company goals and market demands.
o Design and manage pricing models to maximize profitability and market penetration.
o Monitor and adjust pricing based on market conditions, customer needs, and company objectives.
- Commercial & Financial Duties
o Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
o Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and customer segments.
o Prepare detailed pricing proposals and business cases for key projects.
o Manage commercial negotiations and pricing agreements with customers and partners.
- Performance & Reporting
o Track the performance of pricing strategies and adjust based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Provide regular reports and analysis on pricing trends, competitive landscape, and revenue growth.
o Ensure all commercial activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably in the telematics, technology, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, market analysis, and financial modeling.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to design and implement pricing models that drive business growth.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and within teams.
