About the Role:
We are seeking an Export and Logistics Clerk for a maternity cover position on a part-time contract. The successful candidate will work closely with our customer service, production, and administration teams to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and processed goods. This role requires strong coordination skills to manage international shipments and logistics while ensuring compliance with trade regulations.
Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town
Contract Duration: March 2025 – June/July 2025 (4-5 months)
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday (08:00 – 16:30) | Friday (08:00 – 15:00)
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage international shipments, ensuring compliance with export regulations.
• Coordinate logistics, including transport, customs clearance, and documentation.
• Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and carriers.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and company policies.
• Support internal teams with order processing and customer inquiries.
• Perform reception duties, such as answering phone calls and receiving deliveries.
Requirements:
Skills & Experience Required:
• Experience in export operations and logistics.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations.
• Strong attention to detail for invoicing and documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Pastel Partner (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
