About Our Client:Our client is a leading luxury lodge and hotel group known for its exceptional service and world-class hospitality experiences. Their portfolio includes some of Southern Africa’s most iconic lodges and boutique properties, where fine dining and exclusive experiences are at the heart of their offerings.They are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensuring that every dining experience reflects their commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Management:
    • Supervise the daily food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service standards across all outlets.
    • Oversee setup, service, and breakdown of functions and dining areas to ensure smooth operations.
    • Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies to prevent stock shortages.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate a team of servers, bartenders, and support staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance service skills and product knowledge among staff.
    • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
  3. Guest Relations:
    • Greet and interact with guests to gather feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure personalized service by remembering guest preferences and special requests.
  4. Quality and Compliance:
    • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization in dining and kitchen areas.
  5. Sales and Revenue:
    • Promote upselling strategies to boost food and beverage sales.
    • Assist in planning and executing events, including banquets, private dining, and themed nights.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to design menu pairings and promotions.
  6. Reporting and Administration:
    • Prepare and manage daily sales and operations reports for management review.
    • Handle cash, credit transactions, and reconciliations accurately.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage department, ideally in a luxury hospitality setting.
  • Education: Diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Passion for luxury hospitality and fine dining.
    • Attention to detail and a guest-centric approach.
