Our client is looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of People to lead and evolve the people function in one of its core business units. This role will be instrumental in shaping company culture, developing world-class HR strategies, and ensuring an exceptional employee experience as the business scales. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of People will work closely with senior leadership to drive key initiatives that attract, retain and develop top talent while fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
You will be responsible for leading all aspects relating to the company’s employees as well as leading and developing the People team to foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and collaboration. This includes:
· People Strategy & Culture Development: Design and execute a people strategy aligned with our growth objectives, ensuring we are recognized as a top employer in South Africa and globally.
· Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership to attract and retain high-calibre talent, ensuring we have the right people in place to drive business success.
· Employee Experience & Engagement: Build and maintain a people-first culture that prioritizes employee satisfaction, engagement, and well-being.
· Leadership & Talent Development: Implement leadership development programs and career growth initiatives that empower employees at all levels.
· HR Operations & Compliance: Oversee all HR functions, including policies, benefits, compensation, and compliance with labour laws across our global locations.
· Performance & Reward Management: Develop and implement a fair, transparent, and competitive performance and reward structure.
· Change Management & Organizational Development: Lead transformational initiatives that foster agility, collaboration, and innovation within the business.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
A strategic HR leader with experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in a high-growth, global environment
· Passionate about people, culture, and making a meaningful impact on an organization’s success
· Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Experienced in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business goals
· Strong knowledge of South African labour laws, with exposure to global HR practices
· Skilled in building high-performing teams and coaching senior leadership
· A data-driven decision-maker with a hands-on, proactive approach
