Description:
Minimum Requirements:Trade Certificate: Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal preferred). Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair. Experience working with [trucks, construction equipment, mining machinery). Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software. Valid driver's license & own transport. Own tools (advantageous).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, heavy machinery, and other diesel-powered equipment. Inspect and test vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Ensure all work complies with safety and industry regulations. Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards. Replace or repair defective parts, components, and systems. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults. Work with a team to ensure minimal downtime for equipment. Provide emergency repair services when required.
