Description:
Oversee and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review and ensure accuracy in financial reporting, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Manage general ledger reconciliation and review accounts payable and receivable.
Assist with the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
Liaise with external auditors for year-end audits and ensure compliance with all statutory regulations.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training.
Manage and oversee tax filings, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and other projects as needed by senior management.
Ensures staff execute processes and procedures compliance as prescribed by the company (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)
Adherence to tasks not stipulated in job profile i.e. audit compliance, ad-hoc duties due to operational requirements
Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer
Requirements:
Requirements:Appropriate Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Ability to communicate in at least two official languages.
Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Proficient in accounting software.
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Must be able to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
Code 8 driver’s licence.
Experience in manufacturing or retail industries advantageous.
