Job purpose:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the clients HR strategy and implementing HR initiatives that align with their overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting and enhancing workforce capabilities while fostering a positive workplace culture. You will act as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, ensuring that all HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and enforced.
Human Resources Manager Job Responsibilities:
Enhances the organisations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Supports organisation staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; and recommending changes. Establishing and conducting orientation and training programs. Manages employee pay grades by conducting periodic pay surveys. Collaborate with management to develop KPIs aligned with the business strategy, implement, monitor and appraise employee performance. Responsible for all company disciplinary actions, including hearings, dismissals, retrenchments, CCMA and Labour court matters. Hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counselling employees and supervisors. Staying updated on South African labour laws and ensuring the company adheres to them in all employment practices. Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programs to management. Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records as per legal requirements. Overseeing the accurate calculation and processing of employee salaries and deductions. Implementing initiatives to maintain employee morale, foster a positive work culture, and encourage employee participation.
Minimum Requirements:
A relevant degree in Human Resources (an additional tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations and/or the psychological field is advantageous) A minimum of 10 years experience in Human Resources and a management position Knowledge of all labour related legislation Experience with CCMA and Labour Court cases
