Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close: Complete month-end processes, including reconciling figures from P&L to balance sheets and ensuring alignment with trial balances. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements in line with monthly and quarterly timetables to IFRS standards. Statutory Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate completion of all group and statutory reporting requirements. Internal Controls: Operate J-SOX controls and maintain appropriate auditable evidence for periodic reviews. Audit Support: Collaborate with third parties, such as external auditors and tax advisors, to provide necessary financial information and respond to queries promptly. Ad-Hoc Requests: Support the business by providing financial information and responding to any ad-hoc requests. Inter-Company Recharges and Reconciliations: Prepare and reconcile inter-company recharges, manage debtors and creditors, and ensure proper reconciliation of the bank. Cashbook Management: Load entries into Excel, reconcile the bank, and upload cashbook entries into Vision. Once approved, upload Vision cashbook into Sun and allocate receipts accordingly. Creditors Management: Oversee the creditors' function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of creditor transactions. Sales Uploads: Capture daily sales figures, verify their upload into SUN, and ensure accurate month-end balancing.
Qualifications
Accounting Qualification: Accounting diploma or degree (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Â
Skills & Knowledge
Technical Skills: Strong technical financial accounting expertise and experience with IFRS standards. Excel Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including intermediate to advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation. Organisation & Time Management: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a focus on results and action orientation to meet deadlines. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring precise financial reporting and reconciliation. Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, able to address issues efficiently and effectively. Interpersonal & Negotiation Skills: Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities to manage relationships with internal teams and external partners.
