The Faculty
The Faculty’s vision is to be an academic centre respected nationally and internationally for its excellent teaching and research and which seeks to play a productive role in the development of the Eastern Cape and Southern Africa.
Main Objectives
All academics are responsible for disseminating knowledge (teaching and learning), creating knowledge (research), and engaging in community engagement, recognising that there are differences in the execution of these responsibilities within the various departments and faculties. Academics are also expected to assume administrative, management and/or leadership duties at the departmental, Faculty and/or University level. The incumbent in this academic role will play a particular role in planning, managing and implementing the Clinical Legal Education programme and may be required to teach in related academic courses in addition to practising in the Law Clinic.
The Requirements
- LLB and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa, and a minimum of three (3) years of post-admission experience as a legal practitioner.
- Some progress toward the completion of a LLM qualification
- Some teaching or tutoring experience is required.

Remuneration per annum (Grade L):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R 633 149
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R 826 949
