Key Responsibilities:

Breakdown Response:
- Attend to breakdowns promptly, conducting fault finding and repairs efficiently.
- Read and understand P.C. drawings.

Planned Maintenance:
- Ensure all maintenance schedules are executed on time.
- Complete all reports and loggings to maintain high plant reliability.
- Conduct all checks within specified planned timeframes.

Installation Work:
- Perform installation work according to South African standards without remedial work.
- Ability to work unsupervised.

Documentation:
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including SAP notifications and work orders.
- Ensure all plant documentation meets company policy and standards.

Safety and Housekeeping:
- Adhere to lockout procedures and ensure safe job execution.
- Follow proper testing procedures and maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and server room.

Development Work:
- Study electrical drawings and manuals of plant equipment.
- Familiarize yourself with plant equipment operations and SCADA systems.

Planned Standby:
- Respond to faults promptly and repair as per original specifications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical components and read electrical drawings.

Coaching and Mentoring:
- Provide high-quality on-the-job training to assistants and learners.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to help them successfully complete their qualifications.

Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements and company policies.
- Enforce adherence to SHEQ standards and advise management on necessary actions.

Teamwork:
- Contribute to team efforts and achieve related results.

General:
- Be available for overtime and standby duties as per company procedures.
- Follow any lawful instructions from supervisory personnel.
Qualifications Skills Required:
- Education: Relevant technical qualification (e.g., N3 or equivalent) in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fault finding, repair, and installation of instrumentation systems.
- Knowledge: Understanding of electrical and P.C. drawings, plant control systems (SCADA), and safety regulations.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and mentoring abilities; proactive and able to work independently.
