Electrical Engineer (Building Services)

Duties & Responsibilities
Electrical Building Services Design Engineer/Technologist - concept and detail design
Compile/Prepare electrical design documentation for various building services projects (MV/LV reticulation, lighting & small power requirements, wireways for other services).
Compile/Prepare electronic design documentation for various building services projects
Manage and contract supervision of Building Services projects
Report writing, compiling of technical specification and bills of quantities.
Prepare contract documentation
Tendering
Supervision during construction
Supervise / manage junior technicians
Liaise with clients, staff, suppliers, and other professionals from inception to handover phase.

Desired Experience & Qualification
B Eng / BSc Eng / BTech Electrical Engineering degree essential
Registered or eligible to register with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng in Electrical Engineering (Professional registration preferred)
Management Diploma is desirable.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, including but not limited to the following
· Schematic Design.
· Design of LV and MV (11kV) Reticulation.
· Design of Lighting and Small Power.
· Design of Backup Power Solutions.
· Volt Drop Calculations.
· Fault Level Calculations.
· Compilation of Project Budgets.
· Compilation of Tender Documentation.
· Site Supervision.
· Quality Control.
Previous Consulting Engineering experience highly recommended
Must have own reliable transport with valid driver's license, and be prepared to travel to project sites
Valid passport - Travel to African Countries for solution implementation, deployment and roll-out will be required
Medically fit to obtain medical certificate for work on building / construction sites
MUST be fully bilingual - Afrikaans and English (RSA citizen)
Preference will be given to candidates living in Cape Town (or must be prepared to relocate to Cape Town)
