- Assist in preparation of Annual Financial Statements and consolidation in IFRS, including subsidiaries and note compilation
- Consolidate and review all compliance reports for group for monthly reporting to EXCO
- Consolidate and review Quarterly Report to Board of Directors to ensure compliance to PFMA requirements
- Prepare expenditure related MS Excel reports requested by National Treasury and the Department of Energy and Electricity (DEE)
- Coordinate consolidation of Group Budget
- Advise on Value-added tax matters to ensure best possible tax options are utilised for planned projects
- Liaise with external auditors
- Assisting on management of monthly checklist for reconciliations and schedules
- Responsible for performing reconciliations and schedules on a monthly basis
Education:
- Qualified CA(SA) non negotiable
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed SAICA articles
- 2 to 3 years’ post articles experience with a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance
- Practical experience in preparation of company and consolidated Annual Financial Statements using IFRS
- Practical Experience in using CaseWare Software
- Knowledge of relevant legislation i.e. PFMA, Companies Act
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Ability to challenge and address issues
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- High level of attention to detail
