Description:
Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall running of housekeeping department of the hotel, cost effectively and to required standard, in accordance with the Hotels operational requirements.
Supervises all personnel in these departments.
Check all rooms on cleanliness, readiness and maintenance issues and is responsible for ensuring the minimum SOPs are being met.
Responsible for staff training
Forecast anticipated volumes of business and schedule staff accordingly.
Maintain records of stock taking and working to our budgeted amounts of guest supplier and other consumables.
Responsible for the control of all stock, operating equipment, maintenance, and cleaning of cleaning equipment.
Requirements:
Grade 12 and a Hospitality Certificate or Diploma
At least 2+ years experience as a Head / Executive Housekeeper in a 4*
Knowledge of the Opera PMS essential
Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook & Explorer)
Good planning, organizational and time management skills
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
Must be guest service driven.
Ability to work shifts.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to use initiative & work unsupervised.
