Description:

Our client is a well-established professional services firm with a strong reputation for excellence in auditing, accounting, and tax compliance.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in trust administration, tax compliance, and fiduciary services. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing trust structures, regulatory submissions, and tax obligations, ensuring clients remain compliant with relevant legislation while optimizing their financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trust Administration & Compliance
  • Interpret and apply the Trust Property Control Act to ensure full compliance.
  • Administer trusts and estates, maintaining accurate records and ensuring fiduciary duties are met.
  • Ensure timely submission of trust-related documents and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance & SARS Liaison
  • Complete and submit ITR12T returns, ensuring accuracy in tax filings.
  • Manage tax objections, appeals, and correspondence with SARS.
  • Handle e-filing responsibilities, including IT3(T) tax submissions and provisional tax.
  • Fiduciary & Estate Planning Advisory
  • Provide expert advice on trust taxation, estate structuring, and tax compliance.
  • Assist clients in estate planning strategies, ensuring tax efficiency.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes affecting trusts and taxation.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the liaison between clients, trustees, and regulatory bodies.
  • Attend trustee and client meetings, maintaining accurate minutes and follow-ups
  • Provide ongoing client education and advisory services on trust compliance.

    Key Requirements:

    • 5-10 years of experience in trust and tax compliance.
    • Registered Tax Practitioner or Tax Technician (with own code).
    • Strong knowledge of AFS, trust taxation, and compliance requirements.
    • Relevant qualification in Law, Accounting, Tax, or Financial Planning.
    • Experience in estate planning and exchange control (advantageous).
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and tax software.
    • Valid drivers license and own transport required.
    • Clean credit and criminal record.

      Remuneration:R35,000 Cost to Company
