Description:
Develop plans to successfully complete the projects in a timely and cost-effective manner by assuring all required information from customers, engineering, tooling, quality and production are considered in the planning stages.
Maintain process parameters and adjust as required.
Assist in the cost estimating and quoting of new and/or revised products by initiating the quote according to specifications, determining process methods, the equipment required and optimum rates.
Responsible for mechanical design and redesign, including equipment and machinery.
Lead in the identification and implementation of effective solutions that will improve the manufacturing process and capabilities. Develop and redesign facility layouts in support of this objective. Promote continuous process improvements.
Assist in the resolution of production problems by acting as a troubleshooter on all the existing processes at the assigned facility and/or department as need arises; supervisor will notify.
Develop and maintain all supporting documents of activities in an organized manner for easy retrieval for review and consideration.
Develop and implement employee training on new processes and equipment with documentation to assure optimum operation and employee safety.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise Engineers and Technicians. Position interfaces with peers, production employees and other company managers.
