Description:
As an Accountant, you will assist in managing and controlling transactional accounting systems, processes, and procedures while ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory regulations. You will also be responsible for checking, processing, and reconciling journal entries.Duties:
Financial Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and verify entries. Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and file corporate and VAT tax returns, ensure compliance with tax laws, assist in audits, and liaise with auditors and tax authorities. Budgeting & Financial Planning Support: Assist in budget preparation, expense monitoring, financial forecasting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities and risks. Internal Controls & Risk Management: Implement financial controls, conduct internal audits, ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, and collaborate with auditors for transparency. Commercial Support: Assist with risk management.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience:
3-5 years experience in finance or equivalent role. Understanding of risk management, business and accounting process
Skills & Competencies:
Intermediate MS Office (Word & Excel) ERP experience (Navision) Understanding of end-to-end financial accounting best practices and systems. Problem-Solving and Decision-making Analytical
