Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Process accounts payable and receivable. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims. Generate financial reports and statements. Administrative Support: Manage office supplies and inventory. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence. Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments. Maintain and organize filing systems. Assist with HR tasks, including onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records. Provide general administrative support to the team. Client Management: Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Address client concerns and provide timely resolutions. Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of South African accounting standards and regulations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
