Duties and responsibilities:Financial Planning and Budgeting:
Assist with the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, project costings etc. Assisting with deal settlements, overseeing aircraft utilizations calculations, ad hoc recons, deal sheet monitoring etc.Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, debtors and creditors ageing. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure successful audit outcomes.Financial Analysis and Modeling:
Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance, forecast future results, and inform strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Treasury and Cash Management:
Manage the organization's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing investment returns within the framework allowed. Oversee the management of bank accounts.Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the finance teamStakeholder Management:
Communicate financial results, strategies, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and transparent manner.Taxes:
Preparation of Provisional tax calculations for the group. Preparation and review of monthly VAT recons. Review of EMP201s & and preparation of EMP501s. Dealing with SARS queries, VAT, and income tax reviews.Accounts Processing:
Processing of accounting transactions (journals, invoices, bills etc.) Maintaining GL accounts i.e., correct descriptions and wording etc. Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers (additions, disposals, wear and tear registers) Banking- Generating payment instructions for payments to be made. Raising invoices for intercompany transactions.Ad hoc:
Any ad hoc tasks that are required from time to time. Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (BCom Finance or equivalent). Professional certification in finance or accounting, such as CIMA/SAIPA At least 5 years of experience in financial management or financial accounting, preferably in the asset management industry. Proven track record of success in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong leadership and te
