Duties:Providing leadership and overseeing financial accounting, driving business growth and monitoring business performance Finance governance and monitoring. Driving continuous improvement in the finance function Financial reporting: providing insight into the business and key drivers, through complete and accurate analysis on monthly reporting to assist with decision making. Present monthly and quarterly reviews of management accounts to group/executives Drive efficient month end finalization through implementation of SOP. Understand, manage and co-ordinate cost saving initiatives. Strictly comply with group reporting timelines and ensure financial compliance of the business meets group standards. Working capital management: Debtor management, supplier relationship with key suppliers is maintained and timely payments and stock management. Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, i.e. (Good Governance, IFRS). Yearly financial audits and tax and deferred tax calculations Driving and managing the preparation of the budgets, forecasts including timely submission to group Continuous engagement with finance staff, training, identification of areas of improvement and management of the finance team, to ensure optimal performance are maintained. Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, regulations and good governance. Ensure changes in financial regulations and legislation are implemented. Preparation of VAT returns. Ensuring compliance with VAT legislation. Rebilling of costs across legal entities. Preparing budgets and forecasts for the Shared Services Division.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Completed BCom in Accounting Degree. Minimum 5-year experience within Accounting and Financial Manager role. Must have knowledge and working experience of MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Accounting Systems. Strong technical accounting knowledge.
