Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse and Distribution Management:
- Contribute to the development and recommendation of strategic plans to achieve operational goals.
Oversee the process of stock receipts, ensuring accurate entry into the system. Investigate any stock variances and implement rectification plans. Compliance:
Adhere to internal controls and procedures, ensuring integrity and compliance with regulations. Assist in identifying and monitoring risks within the warehouse and distribution areas. Maintain a safe working environment by following Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures. Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, ISO standards, and regulations. Customer Service Management:
Foster positive relationships with internal and external customers to ensure the highest quality of service. Represent the company in meetings with relevant stakeholders. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and integrity in line with company values. Provide reports to management on stakeholder-related matters. Staff Supervision:
Ensure all employees have signed performance agreements. Monitor employee performance through regular appraisals and collaborate with HR on performance development plans. Provide ongoing training and address employee relations matters as they arise. Cost and Financial Control:
Contribute to budget preparation and promote the efficient use of financial resources. Monitor and control expenditures to stay within budget and financial guidelines. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and optimize resource usage.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Diploma in Warehouse Management, Distribution, or Logistics (NQF 6). Advantageous: Bachelors Degree in Warehouse Management, Distribution, or Logistics (NQF 7).Experience:
Minimum: 5 years in warehouse or distribution/logistics in a manufacturing environment, with up to
