Description:
This role is responsible for evaluating and managing the financial risks associated with lending and credit decisions. Their primary goal is to assess the likelihood that a borrower will repay their debts and to minimize the financial risk for the organization.Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk Assessments: Review new credit requests and analyze financials to assess risk.
- Project Finance Analysis: Assess project finance transactions and identify risks.
- Credit Ratings & Loss Assessment: Prepare credit ratings and LGD calculations for counter-parties.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and partners.
- Client Relationship Management: Attend client meetings to understand needs and ensure successful service delivery.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, highlighting potential concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in credit risk analysis.
- CA(SA)/CFA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability to analyze new credit requests.
- Experience in project finance.
- Strong relationship-building skills to develop effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to attend client meetings and maintain strong relationships for successful service delivery.
- Proficient in preparing ratings and loss given default assessments for credit counter-parties.
